Hit by Car, Swing Autogate Damaged in Ampang – Can It Still Be Repaired?

 

 

A customer from Ampang recently contacted us after their swing autogate was accidentally hit by a vehicle. The impact caused the gate to come loose and the autogate was no longer in good condition.

After receiving photos from the customer, we noticed that the lower part of the gate bearing had come out from its original position. Before visiting the site, we explained to the customer that we would first check whether the bearing could be repaired. If the damage was too serious, replacement might be required.

When our technician arrived and inspected the swing autogate, we found that the gate bearing was still repairable. Using the correct welding method, we successfully secured the bearing back into its original position.

After completing the repair, we tested the swing autogate several times to make sure the gate could open and close smoothly and safely.

 

 

Swing Autogate Arm Problem Found During Testing

 

During the testing process, we noticed that the swing autogate arm was making a loud noise and moving slower than normal. We asked the customer whether the arm had the same problem before the accident. The customer confirmed that it was working perfectly before the gate was hit.
After checking carefully, we found that the autogate arm had also been damaged by the impact and could stop working anytime. To prevent future problems, we recommended replacing the damaged arm with our Tronica® 929 Arm Autogate System, which matched the size and specification of the customer’s existing system.

The customer agreed to replace the damaged left-side arm with a new Tronica® 929 Arm Autogate.
