Late in the day, Mr Alex and the Dr Autogate team received an urgent call from a customer in Ampang.The customer’s swing autogate could open normally, but suddenly it could not close. Since the gate was left open, the customer was worried about the safety of the house, especially with night approaching.

Dead Lizard Found Inside the Autogate Control Board

 

Fortunately, one of our technicians was working nearby and was able to reach the customer’s house quickly. After inspecting the system, we found something unexpected. A dead lizard had entered the autogate control board (PCB) and caused the motherboard to fail. This is actually a common problem in Malaysia because small animals such as lizards, ants and insects sometimes get inside the control box and damage the electronic components.

After explaining the problem, the repair cost and the spare parts needed, the customer agreed to proceed. We replaced the faulty control board on the spot, tested the system, and the autogate was working normally again. The customer was relieved that the gate could be closed safely before night.
